Olive Tree Study aims to provide a sound and accurate approach to our teaching. When your child enters our school he/she will begin the critical stages of building a profound foundation in the Islamic faith through exposure to Quranic, Islamic & Arabic Studies. The topics and subjects have been divided in four parts to be taught over the period of the day. Each subject is taught by specialised subject teachers. Children are assessed and put into groups according to their levels. Each class has an appropriate pace and differentiation. Pupils will progress largely according to their own ability and speed. Please note that below is only a summary of our syllabus. Full details are given to pupil once they are enrolled.
There are four lessons per day:
In between each lesson, we have short breaks including a break for light lunch and salah.
In this part of the lesson we are dedicated to exclusively teaching Islamic studies and citizenship. Pupil from the age of five and above will be studying from Islamic educational books which cover a wide range of subjects including Aqidah, Fiqh and Akhlaaq. Books have been carefully selected by Olive Tree Study management as they come in different grades and they are colorful, high quality and packed full of creative activities to make learning fun and enjoyable.
Children who are in the ‘early learning foundation’ (under 5’s) will be primarily learning through constructive play. It will also involve singing nasheed, constructive play, storytelling, role play, hands on activities and so on.
